Since you are going to take the PSAT anyway, you will need to take it early in order to get the scores back in time to qualify. You must sign up for the PSAT no later than Friday, October 1. Hurry! National Book Festival - Saturday, Sept. 25! FREE!


If you loved the Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay, you'll want to go to this event. Suzanne Collins will be talking and also signing books! Click on the link to see what other of your favorite authors are going to be there. It's FREE! They will be selling the authors' books in case you want to buy one to get signed. There authors of all types of books and for all ages - and special events, too! On the Mall in Washington, DC and easily access by Metro.

Welcome! Curious Minds of All Ages!


Curious Minds is an volunteer run enrichment resource for young people in the Shenandoah County area. Most activities are within a 2 hour drive and many are closer. Activities, contests, competitions, and fun academic links give area kids a chance to take advantage of a huge number of opportunities across the country. Computer sand art, Lego robotic competitions, and vocabulary builders that also help you donate rice for hungry people worldwide are just the tiniest sampling of what is available to you. Explore, enjoy and go take part!!
